Tourism grants available

Organizations seeking a grant from the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority must attend a grant workshop at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, in Kaplan Auditorium at the Henderson County Public Library.

The TDA invites non-profit organizations to apply for advertising funding through for the fiscal year starting July 1. The grants are awarded annually to Henderson County nonprofit organizations for the purpose of promoting events, attractions and festivals that draw visitors from more than 40 miles away and encourage overnight stays, thus stimulating spending and boosting the local economy. Grants are limited to $5,000 per non-profit organization. Grant applications and guidelines are available at TDA grants. Grant applications must be delivered to the Visitor Center, 201 South Main Street, by Thursday, April 21.
