William L. “ Bill” King , 88

William L. “ Bill” King , 88 of Hendersonville went to be with Jesus on Tuesday February 09, 2016 after a long struggle with dementia.

A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Samuel F. and Alma R. King.

Bill worked for the city of Hendersonville, Enka, Cranston and Lowe’s, where he made friends with every one he met. He taught Sunday School, was a Deacon and a great help no matter where he worshipped.

He brought years of joy to his family and friends no matter what came his way.

Bill leaves behind, his loving wife of 70 years, Pauline Jones – King. Their children Rita Jackson, Terry, Wayne and Allen, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A funeral sevice will be held 2:00 PM Friday February 12, 2016 at 2PM at Mountain View Baptist church with the Revs, Mike McMillion, Larry Mason and Bradley Chappel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6PM to 7:30 pm at the church.
