Joan Edith Vokes, 88

Joan Edith Vokes, age 88 of Hendersonville, passed away on Wednesday, July 27th, 2016.

She was born August 5th, 1927 in NW London, England, to the late Llewellen and Edith Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Denys Williams of London, England.

She is survived by her loving husband, Alan J. Vokes.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 in Thos. Shepherd’s Church Street Chapel with the Reverend Arthur R. Mack officiating. All of her friends are welcome to attend.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Joan’s memory be directed to Asheville Humane Society, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806.
