Brian Scott Shafer, 38, whose beautiful soul went to be with God on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 will be greatly missed by many. Born April 28th, 1978 in Asheville, NC, he was a man full of love and integrity-- an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Brian is survived by his parents Joanne and Scott Shafer, his sister Jennifer Shafer, and his fiancé Sue Hjelsand and her two children Morgan and Aidan. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Sunday, February 19th from 2-3:30PM at the Grand Old Hall at Highland Lake, 86 Lily Pad Lane in Flat Rock, NC 28731. Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.
