Mary Rose Shuford, 88

Mary Rose Shuford, 88, of Hendersonville passed away Friday, May 26, 2017.
Born in Corapeak, NC, she was the daughter of the late Joe Henry and Hattie Roberta Waters. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jean, Janet and Ruth, and by her brother, Joe.
Rose was employed as proofreader by Atlas Match Corporation in Euless, TX for 25 years. She was a multiple ribbon winner for her knitting entries at both Texas and Western North Carolina State Fairs. Rose was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Kraftcheck and husband, Steve, of Fletcher and Brenda Smith and husband, David, of Arden; grandchildren, Debra Mercer and her husband, Jason, and Daniela Johnson of Arden; and great-grandchildren, Chase, Katelynne, Jayden, and Lilliana Mercer.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 am in the Parish Hall.
