Atha Arrowood Wooten (Marie), passed away on December 3rd, 2017. She was born July 27, 1924 in the majestic mountains of Yancey County, NC.
A loving and strong willed woman took flight this past Sunday. She left behind two sons, two daughters, seven grandchildren, and a plethora of great grand children, great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. When asked once how she wanted people to react to her passing, Atha Marie replied, “I want them to have a party...”. How can we celebrate living without celebrating our greatest adventure.

In lieu of flowers, make donations in memory of Marie Arrowood Wooten to your local community hospice programs. The family will be having a private ceremony.
