Barbara Teach Bouet, 69, of Zirconia, passed away, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at her home after a battle with cancer with her son and best friend Kathleen Flemming by her side.
She was a native of Waterbury and Naugatuck, CT and was a resident of Henderson County for 20 years.
Mrs. Bouet was a graduate of Naugatuck CT High School and received in certification in Drug and Alcohol Addiction counseling from Rutgers University. She owned Lakeside Counseling Services and was very involved with the State of Connecticut Adult Probation until retiring in 2000.
After retiring Barbara worked for Energy Mart for 10 years, loved gardening and was very talented in art and sewing.
Survivors include her son, Brett A. Bouet and his wife, Kathryn of Watertown, CT; grandchildren, Hailey and Brooke Bouet of Watertown, CT and Jeffery Bouet of Waterbury, CT; brothers, Raymond Teach Sr. and his wife Judy of Wolcott, CT, Kenneth Teach and his wife Kathy, of Naugatuck, CT; sisters, Michelle Alenchis and her husband Ray of Calabash and Linda Teach of Oakville, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
