William (Bill) C. Meadows, 75

William (Bill) C. Meadows, 75, of Hendersonville joined his Lord on March 9th, 2013.

He was born in Charlotte on Oct. 28, 1937, to proud parents John Clayton Meadows and Sadie Britt Meadows.

He was a 1959 graduate of Berea College Foundation School, and later continued his education at Mars Hill Collage.

Bill was employed at City Cab Co. from 1963-1971. After leaving Cab Co. was employed by Duke Energy where he retired in 1993.

Bill proudly held the office of Secretary /Treasurer for the Duke Energy retiree committee.

He was survived by two brothers, Wade Meadows of Knoxville, Tenn., and John Meadows of Hendersonville, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and the most amazing group of friends.

He was preceded in death by parents and a special step-mother Eloise Meadows as well as a sister, Betty Strickland.

Visitation will precede the service at 2 p.m. Wednesday March 13, 2013, at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel. Service will be officiated by Rev. Mike Engle.
