Marvin "Stan" Richardson

Marvin "Stan" Richardson, 73, of Hendersonville is out of town. After a brief illness, he was taken on a wonderful journey to be with the Lord on Sept. 4, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachael Williams; his father, Marvin Richardson; his step-mother, Jewel Richardson and his sister, Patti.

He was born in Winter Beach, Fla., and was a 1958 graduate of Dan McCarty High School in Ft. Pierce, Fla. He then joined the Ft. Pierce Police Department for several years before serving our country in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his honorable discharge he worked at Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach, FL until his retirement after 35 years of faithful service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Doris Justice Richardson; three children, Gina, Stanton and Patrick; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister, Glenda; his two brothers Curtis and Paul as well as many close friends that loved him.

The family will receive friends from 6  until 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the funeral home.
