Annie Sue Marlowe Justus, 93, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 13, 2014.
Born on Oct. 30, 1920, in Hendersonville, Sue was the daughter of the late Benjamin C. Marlowe and Eliza Jane Lancaster Marlowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hollis Justus, to whom she was married for 70 years.
Sue was a lifetime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and prepared supper for her family for 45 years every Saturday night. Sue was a 1938 graduate of Edneyville High School and was employed in the banking industry for 40 years.
She is survived by one son, David Justus and his wife, Doris; two grandchildren, Deonna Constant and her husband, Wade, and David Justus II and his wife, Debby; three grandchildren, Daniel Justus, Lee Anderson and Tracey Player and her husband, Michael; sister-in-law, Millie Hull; many nephews and nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear and devoted friends.
Sue was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Capell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
