Estelle Witt Holmes Winn, 86

Estelle Witt Holmes Winn, 86, of Hendersonville passed away Feb. 17, 2014.

She was born in Nashville, Tenn. Preceded in death by her parents, Estelle and Lonnie Holmes; and daughter Barbara Winn.

Estelle was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville. She loved genealogy and was active with Daughters of the American Revolution National Society. The Tamasee DAR School was particularly important to her. She served on the Board of Directors at Pardee Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Carroll "Bob" Winn; sons William "Bill" Winn and John Carter Winn; grandchildren Melissa Winn Webb, Amanda Winn Painter, Tawnya Winn and Kyle Winn; 8 great-grandchildren and many cousins.

The family would like to give a special thanks to personnel at Carolina Village Medical and Care Centers.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville with Reverend Danny Pridemore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Gettman Room at the church.
