Rosella B. Day, 90

Rosella B. Day, age 90, of Etowah died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the Cardinal Care Center.

She was born June 16, 1923, in Transylvania County to the late William Thurman Ball and Pearl Baynard Ball. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Day in 1991; four sons, Bill Day, Larry Day, Harry Day, and Mickey Day.

Mrs. Day was a longtime resident of Henderson County, and a member of Etowah Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, an avid gardener and seamstress; she was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Calvin R. Day; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her brother, LaFoy Ball.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Cardinal Care Center for their exceptional and loving care.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Etowah Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Henderson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Oak Forest Cemetery.
