Pearl Lindsey Henderson, 87, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, from Universal Health Care.
She was the daughter of the late Berry and Polly Hagans Locklear and wife of the late Fred Henderson. She was preceded in death by two sons John Lindsey and Robert Earl Lindsey, her brother Joe Henry Parham and two sisters, Ruth Willis and Sarah Anders.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She loved to garden, listening to ole time gospel music and loved to fly.
Survivors include one son, Paul Lindsey of Dana,; six daughters, Susie Hosom and her husband Rex of Malta, Ohio, Dorothy Pearl Hyder of Hixtson, Tenn., Betty Jones and her husband Larry of Fletcher, Mary Fletcher and her husband David of Flat Rock, Carolyn Wasson and her husband Bill of Hendersonville and Lisa Henderson McDonald and her husband Steve of Lillington; one sister, Ruby Lott of Nashville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday April 12, 2014, at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Rev. Dan Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
At other times the family will be at the home of her son Paul.
