Margaret A. Mantel, 96

Margaret A. Mantel, 96, of Hendersonville died Friday June 20, 2014 at Carolina Village Care Center.

Margaret was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Stamford, Conn., to the late Herman and Emma Gross Mantel. She was employed by US Steel and General Electric. She retired to Hendersonville, which she considered her home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Marie and Kathryn.

She is survived by her nieces Susan Johnson and Lucinda McHale and her husband Larry.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.
