Macula Center hires practice administrator

Laborde Eye Group announced that it has hired Tonya Cochran as practice administrator.

A Hendersonville native, Cochran is experienced in health care management and outpatient operations.
"We are thrilled to have her," said Dr. Robert P. Laborde, ophthalmologist and retina surgeon. "Her commitment to patient satisfaction and customer service supports our model of patient care beautifully."
Cochran comes to the practice with over 20 years of experience in health care management. She began her career in health care at the Park Ridge and Pardee emergency rooms and then went on to become the director of urgent care services at Pardee Hospital for 12 years. She opened and developed the urgent care center prior to its current evolution into a multiple services business.
Cochran holds multiple certifications in business and medical management as well as being active in community affairs. She currently serves on the North Carolina Apple Festival Board of Directors and the Henderson County School Health Advisory Council. Dr. Laborde and his staff welcome Cochran, a busy wife and mother of three sons, to the Macula Center of North Carolina office at 630 Fifth Avenue West.
