Playhouse touts TripAdvisor endorsement

The Flat Rock Playhouse has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award, a designation that the theater says enhances its appeal as a travel designation.

The award, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide, a news release said.
TripAdvisor, which calls itself the world's largest travel site, is a web-based service that allows travelres plan trips and vacations. The website draws 200 million unique monthly visitors and features 100 million reviews and opinions.

"We are pleased to receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence," Hillary Hart, managing director at Flat Rock Playhouse, said in a news release. "We strive to offer our customers a memorable live entertainment experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We hope that our success on TripAdvisor will also bring more people to Henderson County to take advantage of the Stay and Play program with our cherished local hotel partners."
Stay and Play is a program funded by the county Tourism Development Authority that gives tickets to motels, hotels and inns for guests who stay two nights or more.
Many hotels in Henderson County are actively promoting their involvement in the Stay and Play program, including Hampton Inn & Suites, Hampton Inn Hendersonville, Highland Lake Inn, Mountain Inn & Suites, Melange Bed and Breakfast, A Country Retreat at Clear Creek Cabins, Aunt Adeline's Bed and Breakfast, Green Mountain Lodge & Farm and Ramada Inn, the Playhouse said.
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
