Chamber salutes nine growing businesses

The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce kicked off its Celebrate Small Business week with awards recognizing companies that had achieved extraordinary growth even in the challenging economic climate.

The award winners were Blue Ridge Lighting Supply, Clean Streak, Evergreen Medical Services Inc., Henderson County Farm Bureau Insurance, Housing Assistance Corp., Hubba Hubba Barbecue, Mind Your Business Inc., Summit Marketing and United Federal Credit Union.
The chamber continues its salute to small business with the Dale Carnegie course "How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age" at Blue Ridge Community College Conference Hall 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, the announcement of the Athena Award winner at the Business and Professional Women's Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Kenmure Country Club and Business After Hours 5:30-7 p.m. at Champion heating and air conditioning at 806 Locust Street off Seventh Avenue.
