FLAT ROCK — Dean's Deli is scheduled to reopen Monday after a renovation by the new owners.
Dustin and Shannon Zlacki, who bought the Flat Rock store and café in November, painted, installed a new wood floor, added countertops, updated the restrooms and made other upgrades. The dining area was to get new carpet too, Dustin Zlacki said.
The couple's planned reopening on Wednesday was postponed by last week's snowstorm.
The Zlackis also have plans to add new menu items, extend the hours later in the spring and at some point make use of space next door that housed a hair salon.
"We're introducing a variety of breads and a couple of new cheeses," said Shannon Zlacki. "We're going to have a chalkboard menu. When it sells it stays. If not I have seven million ideas for sandwiches."
