FLETCHER — Gov. Pat McCrory is scheduled to visit Fletcher Friday to celebrate the opening of an 80,000-square-foot expansion of the Continental Teves Inc. plant to manufacture its electronic parking brake.
The ribbon-cutting and lunch event also will include state Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker, Samir Salman, CEO of Continental North America; Matthias Matic, executive vice president for hydraulic brake systems; and Jeff Scott, plant manager of the Fletcher location.
The $35 million investment added warehouse space and equipment and about 40 new jobs. The Henderson County Board of Commissioners and Fletcher Town Council authorized economic development incentives of up to $1.6 million in exchange for the job-creating expansion. The plant is at One Quality Way in Fletcher.
