Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has announced the food trucks that will be on site when the Beer Camp Across America comes to Mills River, the last stop on the coast-to-coast craft beer celebration. The Mills River event is 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Oregon-based MarchFourth Marching Band, playing a blend of burlesque, vaudeville, horn-driven funk and marching band madness, will perform a live set from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
A sort of traveling Woodstock for craft beer aficionados, Beer Camp Across America is a seven-city beer festival that starts in Sierra Nevada's hometown, Chico, Calif., and hits San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Portland, Maine; and Philadelphia before ending in Mills River.
Sierra Nevada's newly released Beer Camp Across America mixed 12-packincludes two regional selections —Tater Ridge Scottish Ale, a collaboration of the Asheville Brewers Alliance, and CANfusion Rye Bock, by Oskar Blues Brewery, the Longmont, Colo.-based company with a brewery in Brevard.
More than 700 craft brewers from around the country have signed on for the multi-weekend Beer Camp Across America tour. With around 1,400 total craft beers on tap, collectively representing almost every state in the union, the event is shaping up to be unlike any to date.
