Pie shop moves two blocks south on Main Street

A Piece of the Pie has moved two blocks south to the 300 block of North Main Street.

Formerly located at Fifth and Main, the pie shop owned by Alexis Tesnar is now sharing space with Once Upon A Sign at Third and Main. Tesnar specializes in homemade pies as well as homemade ice cream, expresso and various beverages including root beer and coke floats. Her signature pie is her delicious apple pie which is made with local apples.

Tesnar learned the art of pie growing up.

"My grandmother raised me and that is all we ever made," she said. "She couldn't make spaghetti or other things but she could make pie, really good pie. These are her recipes along with those I have added."

A Piece of the Pie is open Thursday through Monday from noon to 5:30 p.m. and open late Friday and Saturday evenings.
