Mills River's DogTown closes

MILLS RIVER — Restaurants are a doggone hard business.

That was proven again in Mills River with the news that DogTown has closed.

The hot dog and burger place on N.C. 191 at N.C. 280 closed April 21, its neighbors in businesses on either side said Monday. They said they thought the restaurant was being renovated by its owners. A sign on the door says the business is "closed 4 remodle. Comeing soon. Slice of heaven. Pizza, Pasta, subs."

But neighbors said they had not seen the business owners this week or observed any work going on.
