Bearfootin' Bear auction closes Saturday

Bidding for the 2024 Bearfootin’ bears ends at 6 p.m. Saturday. Bidders seeking to “buy it now’’ price must do so by 5 p.m. Thursday.

Currently, buyers have purchased three bears at the buy-now price of $10,000.

To celebrate the final hours of the auction, the public is invited to a countdown event from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Historic Courthouse Square. Attendees and bidders will meet the bears while enjoying live music and refreshments available for purchase from Mini Batch Bakery. While there won’t be voice call bidding at the event, attendees will be able to bid live via cell phone. Setup assistance will be available at a designated registration table.
