Playhouse plans 'unforgettable' Dark Night Revue

A gourmet picnic, live and silent auctions and a one-night-only performance by Playhouse apprentices, visiting artists and resident favorites highlight the annual Dark Night Revue Monday, Aug. 4.

Sponsored by Boys Arnold & Company, the evening will celebrate and re-create Playhouse patrons' most "unforgettable" theater memories. For the past two months, Playhouse staff has been actively seeking out "unforgettable" memories, with the goal of using these special moments as the backdrop of the night's performance.
"We really want the night to come alive for the audience, pulling them into a poignant experience from their first memories of theatre," said acting Artistic Director Lisa K. Bryant, who is directing this year's Dark Night Revue. Theatre-goers can share their own theater memory at flatrockplayhouse.org/dnr. For a lucky few, their memory may be featured in the one-night only performance.
As a special treat for guests, the Playhouse plans to unveil its 2015 season productions. Guests in attendance at the event will be the first to publicly hear the season's lineup before it is released anywhere else.
Tickets for Dark Night Revue are $100 and can be purchased individually or in tables of eight. A limited number of preferred seating tickets are available for $125. Performance-only tickets are $40. For tickets call the box office at (828) 693-0731.
