Courthouse flags honor veterans this week

In honor of the 236th anniversary of the United States of America, the Historic Courthouse is flying the Betsy Ross Stars and Stripes flag, as well as the flag representing each branch of the United States Military all week.

The flags are displayed (from top to bottom) as follows:
· Stars and Stripes
· Army
· Marine Corps
· Navy
· Air Force
· Coast Guard

Steve Wyatt, Henderson County Manager, said, "We are flying the service flags to honor the men and women of our country who have served, or are currently serving, to preserve our nation and to show appreciation for the sacrifices that they have made."
