Sons of Revolution honors John Boyd

Former Blue Ridge Chapter President John Boyd was honored last week with the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the National Society Sons of the American Revolution. Boyd served as president of the local chapter from 2017 through 2019.

“John Boyd was the driving force behind the growth of the Blue Ridge Chapter since assuming the helm in 2017,” said current Chapter President Craig Isaacson. “The Blue Ridge Chapter membership grew by 18 percent during John’s tenure and visibility in area communities was noticeable.”

Stepping down from the Blue Ridge Chapter presidency in December 2020, John now serves as Western Region Vice President for the society.
