Altice USA, which is expected to close on its purchase of Morris Broadband by July 1, plans to " deliver super-fast broadband speeds, access to our nationwide mobile service, new content, more HD channels, and a broader array of entertainment packages," an Altice company vice president said in response from the Hendersonville Lightning.
The Lightning asked the company about its plans for cable TV and internet services, whether prices would change and whether its support services would remain locally based.
"Specifically for Morris customers, in the coming months Altice USA plans to deliver super-fast broadband speeds, access to our nationwide mobile service, new content, more HD channels, and a broader array of entertainment packages," Janet Meahan, Altice's vice president for communications, said. "On pricing, Altice offers a variety of products and packages to meet all consumer needs and budgets, including our low-cost Altice Advantage Internet service, which is available to eligible households for $14.99 per month.
"Altice USA also operates as a local company within each of the communities we serve and will continue to have a strong presence in the Hendersonville community from both an operations and employee perspective. Overall, Altice USA is excited to join the Hendersonville community and build upon the great experience Morris Broadband has been delivering to customers. As the deal hasn’t closed, we look forward to keeping the community and customers apprised of plans in the comings weeks and months."
Meahan also sought to assure Morris Broadband customers that reliable support would continue.
"Altice is committed to ensuring that all of our customers in North Carolina and beyond receive reliable, high-quality service and support, and that they have positive experiences engaging with the company from both a customer care and field technician experience," she said. "We know how important our services are to our customers, particularly over the past year as more people are relying on broadband to work and learn from home, and are confident we can deliver a great service and support experience to new and existing Morris customers."
