Bullington Gardens, a horticultural education center and public gardens, will hold its annual fall plant sale on Friday, Sept. 10, and Saturday, Sept. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, rain or shine.
The sale features many natives, perennials, trees and flowering shrubs. Many specialty dwarf conifers will also be available. New this year will be Bullington Garden’s spectacular dahlias, potted and in bloom to showcase each plant’s color and variety. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
“Planting perennials, trees and shrubs in the fall gives them a chance to get their roots established before next spring's growth. The weather is cool but the soil is still warm which encourages excellent root growth,” says Joellen Johnson, a Henderson County Extension Master Gardener and Bullington Garden’s volunteer coordinator.

All proceeds from the Fall Plant sale benefit Bullington’s mission to connect children and adults with the natural world through science-based horticultural education.
