City announces cleanup blitz on Earth Day

The city’s Environmental Sustainability Board invites the community to celebrate Earth Day by participating in a litter cleanup event named ‘Keep It Clean, Hendo!’

On Friday, April 22, 2022, the community is invited to join the ESB Board and City staff from 4 to 5 p.m. at four locations across Hendersonville. Participants may select from:

• Sullivan Park
• Downtown Main Street
• MLK Park
• Historic Seventh Avenue District

Volunteers are asked to fill out a volunteer form at https://bit.ly/CleanHendo to select their preferred location. This will allow event organizers to plan and communicate with volunteers before the event. Gloves and trash bags will be provided by the City of Hendersonville.
