Pardee controller promoted to VP/CFO

Michael Sunday Jr. has been named vice president and chief financial officer of Pardee UNC Health Care, the hospital announced.

Sunday was promoted from within the organization, where he served as controller since June 2019 and moved into his new position on May 10. In this role, he will lead Pardee’s financial operations and key supporting functions, including revenue cycle, accounting, internal audit, system budgeting, capital planning and decision support.

Sunday received both his bachelor of science in accounting and his master of business administration from East Carolina University. Before coming to Pardee, Sunday worked in health care finance at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville as the director of accounting and finance.

 “Mike is well respected among his peers and has proven to be a steady and committed leader within our organization,” said Jay Kirby, Pardee's president and CEO. “He is a welcome addition to our leadership team.”
