The city of Hendersonville and Henderson County have announced closings for the upcoming Christmas and New Year's Day holidays.
City government offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23, Monday, Dec. 26, and Tuesday, Dec. 27 in observance of Christmas. City offices will also be closed Monday, January 2 for New Year’s Day.
No garbage, recycling, brush, or leaf collection will take place on Friday, Dec. 23, Monday, Dec. 26, or Tuesday, Dec. 27. Collection for customers will be delayed by one week and will resume Friday, Dec. 30; Monday, Jan. 2; and Tuesday, Jan. 3, respectively. Any extra bagged garbage for those customers will be picked up when collection resumes.
Although city offices will be closed on Jan. 2, collection of garbage, recycling and brush will run as regularly scheduled that day.
All Henderson County government offices, agencies and the Henderson County Courthouse close in observance of the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 23, Monday, Dec. 26, and Tuesday, Dec. 27.
The Henderson County Public Library and all branches close on Friday, Dec. 23, and remain closed until Wednesday, Dec. 28, when they will reopen with regular business hours.
The Henderson County Transfer Station and Convenience Center close on Friday, Dec. 23, and Saturday, Dec. 24. Regular operating hours resume on Monday, Dec. 26.
The Henderson County Animal Services Department will close on Saturday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 26. The Animal Services Department resumes regular business hours on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
All Henderson County offices, agencies, and the Henderson County Courthouse will resume normal operating hours on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
