Deadline nears for DuPont Forest Half Marathon signup

The fourth annual Morris Broadband Half Marathon @ DuPont Forest will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 8:30 a.m.Registration is available at www.Active.com for $50 before March 1. Runners will also receive a Brooks tech shirt and a pair of Diamond Brand socks. Currently only 150 slots remain available; the race has sold out every year.
The 13.1-mile course features trails, lakes, a mountaintop airstrip and three water stations. This year's race will feature a new start/finish area.
The stations will be supported by volunteers from ADPi alumni, WNC Girls on the Run, and Foot Rx Running. Each station will feature energy foods from Honey Stinger products. Every runner that finishes the race will be eligible for a drawing from INOV-8 shoes for a pair of new trail shoes. Five pairs will be given away on race day.
