Jennifer Hoots has assumed duties as chief operating officer of Blue Ridge Community Health Services, the health agency announced.
As chief operating officer, Hoots will be responsible for the operational performance for all sites and service lines. She is also charged with ensuring efficient service delivery that is designed to meet the needs of patients, providers, the public and staff, BRCHS said in a news release.
Hootshas more than 15 years experience in physician practice management, most recently with Pardee Hospital where she was director of Pardee Urgent Care and Business & Industry. She had also been executive director of physician services, providing operational and administrative leadership for the 16 hospital-owned physician practice sites.
A graduate from North Carolina State University, Hoots holds a degree in communication and is certified as a Medical Practice Executive by the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
