County's U-19 girls complete dominant year

Henderson County's U-19 girls finished with a 20-1 record over the past 12 months across four tournaments and the NCYSA regular season.

Capping a remarkable year, Henderson County's under-19 girls team competed in the Gatlinburg College Showcase Kickoff this month, finishing the weekend with two wins and one loss.

In November 2022, the girls won the Accuvision Eye Care Fall Classic in Charlotte, outscoring their opponents 20-1 on their way to three shutouts and four wins. In August 2023, the girls won the Daddy Macs Riverside Summer Shootout in Asheville, outscoring opponents 11-1 on their way to two shutouts and three wins. In September, the girls won the NC Fusion Labor Day Shootout in Greensboro, outscoring opponents 12-2 on their way to three shutouts and four wins.

The team also captured first place this fall in the 2023 NC Youth Soccer Association West Division, going undefeated to win nine matches.
 
 
Led by second-year coach Brandon King, the girls finished with 20-1 loss over the past 12 months across four tournaments and the NCYSA regular season. The team is led by senior goalie Jasmine Settles from East Henderson and senior forward Catie Barton from West Henderson and also includes Stella Veach, Gabby Leclair and Madelaine Cable from Hendersonville and Emery Sprouse, Katelyn Day, Sarah Hughes, Ashlynn Kurle, Rhylie Druskis, Noelle Houlihan, Lauren Clonch and Alison Justus from West Henderson.
