The Community Foundation of Henderson County has announced the opening of scholarship applications for the 2024-25 academic year.
The foundation offers more than $630,000 in new and renewable scholarships for the upcoming school year. There are 273 award opportunities for local students. All scholarship applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31.
For most students and their families, cost is a critical consideration when deciding on a college or university. As tuition prices rise, the reality is that many families cannot afford the cost of higher education without financial assistance. Scholarships are a critical part of the equation to help students not only pay for college, but to succeed while there.
Scholarship opportunities support a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, achievements, and higher education goals. Thanks for generous community donors, area students pursuing a higher education degree may apply for valuable financial assistance.
To apply, visit us at cfhcforever.org/grants/scholarships. Questions about the online scholarship application and opportunities may be directed to Donor Services Manager Wendy Hamil at 828-697-6224 or WHamil@cfhcforever.org.
The foundation has awarded more than $7 million in scholarships since 1984 to more than 1,800 students. If you would like to make a lasting impact in the lives of local students by establishing a scholarship fund, contact foundation at 828-697-6224.
