High School Honors Chorus performs Saturday

The Henderson County High School Honors Chorus will present a concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, in the Hendersonville High School Auditorium.The program will include music by Morten Lauridsen, Eric Whitacre, Bob Chilcott and a spiritual arranged by Moses Hogan.
The Honors Chorus, sponsored by the Carolina Concert Choir, is made up of choral music students from Henderson County's public high schools as well as high school students from private schools and home schools. It is directed by Michael Lancaster, director of choral activities at Western Carolina University. Katherine Price is accompanist with Amy Lovinger, violinist.

The Honors Chorus is an outreach program of the Carolina Concert Choir, an all-auditioned group of singers, performing excellence in choral music for 34 years in Western North Carolina. The Carolina Concert Choir is directed by Bradford Gee.
Tickets to the March 2 concert are $5 and may be purchased at the door before the concert or from area high school choral music students.
