The United Way of Henderson County announced Monday that it has added seven community leaders to its 2024 Board of Directors.
“We are grateful and excited to welcome these new members to the United Way Board,” said UWHC Board President, Trina Rushing. “We appreciate their willingness to utilize their diverse talents, expertise, perspectives, and passion for community to help United Way further our work of making a positive and lasting impact on the human condition in Henderson County.”
The 2024 incoming board members will serve 3-year terms and join 14 continuing members in providing strategic governance and oversight of United Way’s operations, funds distribution process, programs and initiatives. The new board members include:
“We are thrilled to welcome these new board members,” United Way Executive Director Denise Cumbee Long said. “Our organization is fortunate to have a wise group of leaders who will be real assets to our team as we work together to improve education, financial stability, health and basic needs for everyone in our community.”
