50-year-old charged with child sex crimes

A 50-year-old Hendersonville man was charged last week with three counts of sexual abuse of a child after an investigation by detectives with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, the sheriff’s office said.

Michael Fitzgerald Sr. was charged with statutory rape of a child by an adult, statutory sex offense with a child by an adult and indecent liberties with a child and jailed under a $500,000 bond.
