Early voting is under way in the May 14 runoff election for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor and state auditor.
The Board of Elections, 75 East Central St., is the only location for early voting. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. May 11. Registered Republicans are eligible to vote; unaffiliated voters may vote if they chose a Republican ballot in the March primary or did not vote in the primary. At 2 p.m. Thursday, the first day of early voting, 22 people had cast ballot, Elections Director Summer Heatherly said.
Candidates are Jim O'Neill and Hal Weatherman for lieutenant governor and Dave Boliek and Jack Clark for state auditor.
On Election Day May 14, polls are open 6:30a.m.-7:30 p.m. To avoid interfering with public schools, four polling locations have moved:
