Kinsey becomes chief administrative officer at AVL

Tina Kinsey was named chief administrative officer at Asheville Regional Airport..

Tina Kinsey, the longtime marketing and communications director for Asheville Regional Airport, has been named chief administrative officer at AVL, the airport announced Wednesday.

Kinsey currently serves as Asheville Regional Airport’s vice president for marketing, public relations and air service and leads a team of nine members. Through her servant leadership approach, strategic mindset and communication with key stakeholders, Kinsey has brought both operational and administrative successes to AVL during her 14-year career at the airport. Prior to her work with AVL, Kinsey served as vice president for business development and director of marketing at Transylvania Regional Hospital, where she honed critical skills in strategic planning, business development, public relations and customer service.

Kinsey is an industry professional with 14 years of airport leadership experience and during her career has developed and led a wide variety of initiatives that support the mission and vision of Asheville Regional Airport. She has a master’s in speech communication from Colorado State University as well as a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and business administration from Berry College in Georgia. Kinsey is also an accredited member of the American Association of Airports Executives. She moves into the new role on July 1.
