The party contacted the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office after vandals trespassed on private property and destroyed Democratic Party signs, according to a press release from the local Democratic Party. Signs were bulldozed, torn apart and discarded.
“Such actions are not only illegal but represent an attack on the fundamental principles of our democracy,” according to the press release. “We urge all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, to come together to stop this behavior. Vandalism and trespassing threaten free speech, private property, and the integrity of our democratic process.”
Anyone with information about the vandalism should contact local law enforcement.
