The Lightning is free at these racks

The Lightning is free again this week at six racks.

"Amid all the hardship and challenges in the post-Helene world, the last thing we want to ask people to do is dig for four quarters to get news of this historic disaster," editor Bill Moss said. "We've unlocked racks at six locations in and around the city. These are the only racks that will be filled this week. For the sake of our distribution team, first responders and utility crews, we want to avoid adding traffic on hazardous roads."

Please limit the free offer to one copy per household. Locations are:

• Lightning office, 1111 Asheville Highway, across from Walgreen's
• East Flat Rock post office
• Flat Rock post office
• Ingles in Laurel Park
• 400 block of Main Street (Mike's on Main)
• Ingles on Spartanburg Highway at Greenville Highway.
