North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey has announced that victim assistance centers will open next week in Hendersonville, Jefferson, Waynesville and Marion to aid those affected by Hurricane Helene.
The Hendersonville center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Blue Ridge Commons, 2111 Asheville Highway, .
As previously announced, insurance camps will be set up in Buncombe County at Lowe’s Home Improvement, 19 McKenna Road, Arden, N.C. 28704 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 23-24. Representatives from a number of insurance companies will be on hand at the Insurance Camps to assist residents with their claims.
“We continue to coordinate with law enforcement agencies, fire departments, rescue squads, civic groups, charities and churches to assist victims of this terrible storm,” Causey said. “The Department of Insurance will continue to host events to help with insurance claims and other needs.”
