Disaster Recovery Center announces new hours

The Disaster Recovery Center at Blue Ridge Commons shopping center on Asheville Highway will operate with new hours starting Monday.

Hours are: 8 a.m.-6 p,m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.2 p.m. Saturday, closed Sunday. The center will be closed for Thanksgiving Nov. 28 to Dec. 1.

The State Hazard Mitigation Team will be in Henderson County Dec. 3-5 at disaster center to assist homeowners with completing their Hazard Mitigation grant applications. Visit www.NCDPS.gov/HM to watch an 8-minute video about the funding opportunity.

Debris Collection

Henderson County is managing storm debris collection countywide including the city of Hendersonville. Report debris that needs to be picked up at https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/b0c483595fc84c44927c9014f1c26b16 An online form allows residents to describe the type of storm debris and submit photos, which will help plan cleanup efforts.
