Cold Spring Basecamp in Zirconia has opened its newest accommodation, Parke’s Stand Treehouse, an extraordinary blend of rustic charm and modern comfort nestled in the heart of nature.
Designed for adventurers, romantics and those seeking a serene getaway, this elevated retreat offers guests a one-of-a-kind experience surrounded by lush forest landscapes.
Parke’s Stand Treehouse is named after the late Parke Waggoner, who spent many years hiking, hunting and hanging out on the Cold Spring property. It is also the delivery of a promise that Cold Spring Basecamp owner Hartwell Carson made to his daughter to build her a treehouse. After promising a treehouse and only putting one board in a tree in their front yard, Hartwell finally did it right with a luxurious cabin high in the trees. A walk via swinging bridge takes guests to the cabin with a comfy bed, kitchenette, loft for kids, hot shower and a tree in the bathroom. From its panoramic windows to the private balcony overlooking the wooded terrain, every detail has been crafted to immerse guests in nature without sacrificing convenience.
“We wanted to create a space that makes a night in the woods easy, while also allowing folks to connect with the nature around them,” said Carson, co-owner of the outdoor refuge. “Parke’s Stand Treehouse is not just a place to stay; it’s an invitation to slow down, explore the outdoors and make lasting memories.”
