Disaster assistance deadline extended to Feb. 6

The deadline for Henderson County residents to apply for FEMA assistance has been extended until Feb. 6, Henderson County officials announced.

County residents impacted by Hurricane Helene now have four more weeks to apply for disaster assistance from FEMA. To apply:
• Visit the Disaster Recovery Center at 2111 Asheville Highway.
• Visit https://www.disasterassistance.gov/
• Download the FEMA app on mobile devices
• Call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362 between 7 a.m. and midnight. Help is available in most languages.
