AdventHealth, Blood Connection partner on blood drive Thursday

AdventHealth Hendersonville is teaming up with the Blood Connection to host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at 100 Hospital Drive, Hendersonville.

The Blood Connection Mobile Donor Unit will be parked near the valet parking lot. All donors receive $40 in rewards. To make an appointment, visit thebloodconnection.org and search for the Sponsor Code 23AC.

The winter months can often be a time of reduced blood donations due to holiday gatherings, bad weather and cold and flu season. Every two seconds a person needs the lifesaving resource of blood, according to the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies.
