A developer is seeking the OK for a 14-home subdivision on 42 acres off Hidden Lake Road and Evans Road in the Crab Creek community.
Landowner UAG Hidden Creek LLC and landscape architect Hunter Marks of Watermark Landscape Architecture have submitted a combined master plan application for the 14 lots. Acorn Properties of Asheville bought the 42 acres, which includes a 1,960-square-foot home, for $1,239,000 in May 2023, property records show. The existing R2R zoning allows up to 2 housing units per acre; the proposed density is roughly 3 acres for each home.
The county Technical Review Committee is scheduled to look at the development plan at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the county building at 100 N. King St.
