Land of Sky seeks Friend of River nominations

Land-of-Sky Regional Council is currently seeking nominations for the 36th Annual Friends of the River awards.

The purpose of the award is to recognize individuals, private organizations, civic groups, and/or public agencies that have made a significant contribution toward the restoration and enhancement of the French Broad River (or tributaries) as a recreational, economic, or cultural resource.

We need your help in identifying deserving candidates to be recognized as Friends of the River. Recipients of the award will be honored during Land-of-Sky's Friends of the River Dinner on Sept. 11.

To nominate an individual or organization for the Friends of the River award, return the nomination form ftp://landofskygis.org/FOR/NominationPacket.pdf to Land-of-Sky Regional Council before June 15.
