BREVARD — UNC Health Pardee broke ground Monday on a new comprehensive medical office building at 277 N. Broad Street in downtown Brevard.

“UNC Health Pardee is so very excited to be growing and serving the citizens of Transylvania County,” John Bryant, Pardee's vice president of operations and support services, said in a news release. “We are deeply committed to providing excellent clinical care and high-quality health care options to our friends and neighbors. Our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve is fully represented by our collective investments in Transylvania County and the greater region.”

The facility, expected to open in early 2026, will house Pardee BlueMD, currently located at 1409 Asheville Highway, along with various specialty services, Pardee Rx, and a community meeting room. This expansion aims to double the number of primary care providers and enhance access to specialists and pharmacy services in the region.
